Outside these areas?
We'll travel further for commercial work and for larger residential jobs. Call 775-362-7367 and ask — the answer is often yes.
How slab conditions vary across the metro
Nine markets, one climate, but the housing stock differs enough to matter.
| Area | Typical build era | What we most often deal with |
|---|---|---|
| Sparks | 1980s–1990s | Prior coatings, threshold spalling, deep oil contamination |
| South Reno | 2000s | Large floors, good slabs, two-zone layouts |
| Somersett | 1990s–2000s custom | Sound slabs, higher finish expectations |
| Spanish Springs | 2010s–present | Slab age; confirming the pour date |
| Caughlin Ranch | 2000s–present custom | Large multi-bay garages, metallic and design work |
| Damonte Ranch | 1970s–1990s | Older slabs, more repair, occasional moisture |
| Verdi | Mixed, much older stock | Variable slab quality; assessment matters most here |
| Reno | Full range | Everything above, depending on the neighbourhood |
What does not vary
Wherever you are in this area, the same three constraints apply: hot tire resistance, an aliphatic topcoat that will not amber, and a slab tested for moisture before anyone coats it. The climate does not respect zip codes.
Our specification is identical across every area we serve. What changes between neighbourhoods is the amount of preparation, and therefore the price.
Response times
We are based in Reno, so travel anywhere in the metro is short. Typical timelines: a callback the same business day, an on-site measure within two to four days, and an install date one to three weeks out depending on season. Spring and autumn book further ahead than summer.
If you are working to a deadline — a house sale, a contractor waiting on the floor, a tenant move-in — say so on the first call. We will tell you honestly whether we can meet it rather than discovering the conflict later.
Commercial coverage
For commercial work we travel further than the residential list suggests. A large warehouse or multi-bay facility absorbs travel time easily, so if you are outside the metro it is still worth a call. We have taken work into Pahrump, Mesquite and the Moapa Valley where the scale justified it.
What does not travel well is a single small residential garage an hour out. The setup and travel overhead makes the per-square-foot cost unattractive for you, and we would rather say so than quote something you should refuse.
New construction and builders
We work with builders and general contractors across the metro, with one condition we do not move on: the slab has to be at least 28 days old. This occasionally puts us out of step with a completion schedule, and we would rather miss the date than install a floor that fails in the homeowner's second year.
For builders willing to sequence around that, we are straightforward to work with — scheduling holds, we coordinate around other trades, and we take the garage last so nothing gets damaged after us.
Property managers and HOAs
We handle multi-unit work: garage floors across a development, common-area concrete, trash enclosure pads and equipment rooms. Volume pricing applies, and we can phase across weeks so residents are not all displaced at once. Certificates of insurance and additional insured endorsements are routine for this work — ask at the start and we will have them ready.
Common questions
Do you charge extra for travel?
Not within the areas listed. Beyond them it depends on distance and job size — a large commercial floor absorbs travel easily, a single-car garage an hour out doesn't.
We'll tell you up front rather than building it in quietly.
